If you own a HiMD recorder such as the RH1 , then you need to have this remote , For 1 ,in Record mode , the Scroll wheel becomes your rec level control (Manual rec setting) as well as very visible Rec Level Meters on the LED . for feil recording that is extremely valuable . Press "Play Mode " while recording and you get Track Marks , ......without having to pull the MD recorder out of its protection. Langauge display can be changed as well , Japanese characters are no problem , whole menu can be changed . Backlight timing is quite variable and is a nice easy on the eyes blue , so you can see it in the dark well.

Pros:
Lets just say my other remotes are in a sock drawer somewhere!
Cons:
Might be a little big for some peoples taste .
