I've looked at a lot of LCD's and plasma's and I think this is the best flat screen you can buy for under £2000.
I looked at this set and was not impressed at the Sony store or at Comet, but feed it a reasonable signal and calibrate the picture (I used a calibration DVD) and the picture is awesome.
I own a high end DLP projector and I know what an excellent picture looks like.

Pros:
Freeview picture quality, can't wait for HD.
DVD playback.
Good contrast, picture has a very good depth of field.
No motion blur from fast moving sports or action.
System Menu.
Higher resolution than plasma, very sharp picture.
Cons:
Only 1 HDMI input? However you can buy a HDMI switch box to that will increase the inputs.
Remote is ok.
Without a sub low-end sound may be a bit weak.
