Sharp LC37B20E TV
An exceptionally good all rounder, you will not be disappointed with this Sharp TV!
Out of the box setup that is required is easy enough in terms of setting region and broadcast type however you will find the back light set to maximum and contrast to equal. The screen image will appear a little grainy until these are set to your own preference. Personally I set the Backlight to +1 (just right of centre) and then adjusted the other settings to suit. It looks really nice in the corner of the room, modern lines and appearance adding to its superb picture quality in my view, a very good match for more ‘popular’ makes.
I watched the F1 this weekend, and the Wimbledon final both of which gave no sign of picture judder or blurring images and my eye sight is 20/20! The onboard sound is very pleasing, I found it best set to surround ‘ON’ although hold of the base a little, it can reverberate at higher levels such as the bass on a popular News program intro! Manual controls are easily accessible on the top, inputs and outputs are more than adequate.
Controls are fine, you really shouldn''t find it at all tricky to setup but do read the manual first, don''t rush to switch it on. Lots of screws in the base and back plate to hold it up, but Sharp provide a proper screw driver to assist you and the base swivels enough to get the best viewing angel possible. For the money you cannot go wrong because lets face it I wasn''t spending 1000''s! But feel I have cheated the system in the standards I am now enjoying on what I had read to be a good mid-range model. It’s as good as any Samsung or Sony I have watched do better than mid range in my view. 37" is the one to go for. :)
