Servis M6500W
User Reviews of the Servis M6500W
My machine was 18 months old, hardly been used and it broke. The customer service at Servis is non existent so I contacted Currys where I bought it. They said if I obtained an Engineers report to show that the problem wasn''t caused from wear and tear or abuse of the machine they would comply with the Sale of Goods act (how generous of them to obey the law). The engineers report stated that the fault was from a faulty interlock which had damaged the main PCB. The report also stated this was a common fault in these machines and that the machine in fact looked brand new. Currys dismissed this and offered me £95 as a ''goodwill gesture'' rather than the £220 I requested, the sale of goods act states that goods are guaranteed under the act for a period of up to 5 years - the goods themselves must last for a ''reasonable'' amount if time (save for wear and tear, abuse). Currys wouldn''t comment on what they perceived to be a reasonable period of time and so I am now taking them to a small claims court. My advice is to stand up to these bullyboy firms and grag them to court to make them follow the law.
