Buy A Dyson to be fashionable; Buy a Hoover to be traditional. Buy A Sebo upright if you want the job done. Forget bagless or cyclonic because one day you''ll end up having to clean dirt out of something! On Sebo you get a 5.5 litre dust bag which takes a lot more dirt than it suggests by data. We go through on average a bag every 3 to 4 months with our Sebo, which we have had for 3 years and 10 years before that in the hands of my wife''s brother who has now left the UK. The Sebo is effortless (and since been replaced by higher motor rated X1.1 and X4) to use because it uses an electronic brain which adjusts floor head to the carpet surface; no drive belt to replace; brush can be taken out and cleaned easily; S Class and Micro filter options which are a boon for a family of pets; Lastly its an upright which will slide under your low beds!

Pros:
No drive belt; easy access to brush for cleaning; additional trap door to remove blockages; electronix adjusting head means no more bending down; optional cost parts which improve and heighten user versatility such as long tube and floor brush to enable change over to cylinder type use; uses a paper bag with seal caps to ensure dust stays in and no leakage; S Class and micro filter options - they last upon 10 bags.
Cons:
Top hose means that the cleaner can topple over; standard model comes with a short hose only but a longer (3 metre) hose can be bought optionally at cost of average £10-00.
