I got my Sanyo HDP3000 player as a christmas gift from my wife and I more than happy with it. Granted, it may not have the looks of some of the more stylish mp3 players such as the i-pod nano etc but I don''t think that matters really. If it is functionality you are after then you cannot do better. It can play both MP3 and WMA tracks storing more in the WMA format. The display is adequate for this purpose showing you just what you neeed with song title, artist, track length and time track has run. All the software is contained on the player when you get it, although I have''nt needed to use it. I ahve been copying and pasting, simple enough proceedure and it works all the same. And if that wasn''t enough, you can always use it as a portable 6gig hard-drive, something I don''t think you can do with an i-pod since I bought my wife an i-pod for christmas and she has had no end of problems with using it

Pros:
6gig for 100 quid - very good value.
Easy to use with simple user menu.
Easy size to carry - about the size as an audio cassette.
Cons:
Have to charge through your computer through USB cable - unless you shell out for a separate charger.
Control disc is a little bit to small but is still alright to use.
Not instananeous change between tracks - no great hardship though.
