User Reviews of the Samsung RSH1NHMH Side by Side American Refrigeration
This was delivered in January 2008. Purchased from Empire Direct for £750. Delivery was an issue. Although pain for install the guys wanted me to sign it as ok before it went in. This item is VERY large. The dimensions given on the sites DOES NOT include the depth of the door handle which adds a good 5cms to the overall depth - it was around 3mm thinner than my door and thus at real risk of dent just to get it in. Unlike some american fridge freezers the handles DO NOT come off - it would mean taking the door and plinth of they told me?
It looks great and its ok. Plumbed in without to much hassle. Replacement filters are around £40 though and it needs one at least every year....not impressed with that!
Not that noisy unless its making ice - when it does that its very noisy.
Water dispenses fine - ice can be a bit like a shot gun!
Fridge has ample room.
Freezer is much smaller - the ice machine takes at least 1/3 of the capacity. I live alone and can get no more than a weeks products in there... no probs if you have a spare chest freezer in the fridge - if you are a family and this is your only freezer - I think you might be cross.
The outside is a right pain to keep clean! It shows every finger mark.
I took a 5 year warranty as so much bad press about american fridge freezers - time will tell if this is a real big mistake!
Pros:
looks nice.
endless ice.
roomy fridge.
great control over the temps.
easy to clean inside and keep fresh.
Cons:
very large.
awkward to get on site.
needs to be plumbed into the mains.
filters are very expensive.
outside shows marks easily.
