having testing this laptop to its full potential, i think it is a excellent laptop. it is almost at the bottom of the vaio range and I''m not even sure if Sony still retails but it really is the perfect balance of practicality and value, i would recommend this laptop to any one who does a bit of everything i.e. photo editing,music,movies,cad drawing e.t.c. the keyboard is comfortable to type on which i believe is an important factor when buying a laptop.

Pros:
- keyboard, nice layout.
- nice size.
- 120gb hhd ensuring you can store plenty of photos and music.
- stylish design.
- 1.86ghz core 2 duo processor for having all those large applications open.
- 15.4 wide screen display for watching movies and editing photo''s.
- SD Memory Card, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick Duo readers for transferring files from cameras p.s.p''s e.t.c.
- a 4 pin fire wire port for transferring videos from video cameras/camcorders.
- 15 pin VGA port to connect the laptop to a projector or external display.
and last but not least may bee one of the most important to some people a express card.
Cons:
- the touch-pad/cursor, sometimes gets stuck in one curtain section of the screen, and can be fiddly to get back in place.
- paintwork, easily gets scratched.
- no built in web cam or mic. like his bigger brothers.
