Philips 42PF5521D Plasma Tv
User Reviews of the Philips 42PF5521D 42 in. HDTV-Ready Plasma Television

my laptop has a hd connection so it is very easy to connect to this tv ,only had this tv for 4 months but very happy.the only complaint is the sound options i.e.voice theartre etc dont have much effect everthing sounds pritty much the same.
Pros:
love the picture in picture mode
Cons:
none
I own an audio visual business and as such have a pretty good idea about technology etc. I have to say that Philips need to be lined up against the wall and shot for what they have done in describing this product (and others)!
They state fully compatiable with personal computers as you would expect - WRONG - you can connect via the HDMI port using a DVI input but for those of you like me who have VGA it''s a big NO NO.
Philips customer services are probably the worst in the world we deal with every other major brand and they are all 10 times better than Philips at least. In a word forget this Plasma better ones are available!
Pros:
10,000 Contrast Ratio
Cons:
NO VGA INPUT & Plastic Stand

When wanting a large scr4en TV I shopped around quite a bit and was very impressed with what the Phillips TV had to offer.
The TV has a impressive array of connection options.
The overall look of the TV are fantastic, everyone comments on it when they walk into the living room.
I wanted to hook the TV up to a Media Centre PC I had built and boy does it do the job.
I did add the Logitech ZZ550 surround sound kit which when used absolutely blows you away.
With the TV sound on and the Logitech sound it really feels like you're in the picture.
Don't get me wrong - the standard TV sound is great - I just wanted that little bit more (much to my other halfs annoyance).
The only downside was the weight of the TV - SEVEN STONES.
Even so It still went on the wall no problem, albeit it with very big bolts and a very heavy tilting bracket (made by Omnimount - highly recommended product).
Overall this is a fantastic buy and I am very pleased with it.
