Panasonic TUCT41 Freeview Dtv Receiver

I''ve had my TUCT41 for a couple of years - like many others I bought on the strength of the Panasonic brand. I experienced many instances of having to retune and reset the unit despite having the security information typed in. It finally went "pop" and then started smoking a couple of weeks ago. Lucky I was in the room to unplug it! I took it apart later to find that a chip had blown itself into bits and the case had melted a little bit. My advice - go for a cheaper one with a remote that can learn your TV''s basic controls (if there is one!)
