Panasonic DMREZ45V Dvd Recorder Vcr Combo

This instrument is rubbish. Difficult to use unreliable and poor menus. Mine packed up after 15 months.

This is one of the best pieces of kit i've ever bought. Up until now i was transfering my home videos from vhs to dvd on the computer. My advice is forget it. The time it took to write a dvd was ridiculous. It took 2 hours to transfer the footage to the computer, and then another 3 hours or so to write the dvd. And after all that the picture quality was quite appalling. I wish i had bought this standalone combi sooner. The picture quality (using dvd+rw) is excellent, and of course it writes on the fly so 2 hours of footage only takes 2 hours in total. Transfering from vhs to dvd is simple with only one button to press. I'm looking forward to trying dvd ram though with the extra editing functions. Recording from tv is simplicity itself with the electronic programme guide. The unit set itself up in no time at all complete with freeview. The remote is also excellent. Well laid out and easy to use. All in all highly recommended.
