Priced sensibly at around £150 from Tesco, this caught my attention due to the size of the screen 4.3". On opening, the product requires charging for about 7-10 hours but once charged via the USB port of a PC it boots up quite well. Menu layout is intuitive and excellent to navigate via the touch screen. Voice commands from the unit are clear and loud. The most annoying aspect of the device is that once it loses the signal it reboots and goes back to demo mode way too often. The reboot sequence takes up to 2 minutes which is disconcerting especially as you approach critical junctions. What it fails to do is remember what the last destination was and ask if you would like to continue navigating to this point. It also seems to lack the ability to delete addresses/destinations which you no longer require. So far I haven''t found the menu which allows you to specify the route, eg shortest, fastest, avoiding toll roads, use motorways, etc. having only had the unit 1 week. The user manual is on the CD.
Pros:
UK, ROI and EU maps!
Cons:
Reboot sequence on losing signal is painful. Getting back on track requires you to pull over to reset your destination.
