Loewe Concept L32 Platinum Lcd Tv 80CM

I bought a Loewe 32 LCD, the Individual 32S from House of Fraser for my birthday in Nov 06. The same 2650 chassis as the Concept 32. When I got it home it had two dead pixels. I took it back and exchanged it for another. Unfortunately this also had a dead pixel but House of Fraser had no more available in the country to exchange it for. This says alot about the lack of quality of a £2000 TV. The Concept on display at Lakeside and also Maidstone branches also had dead pixels. Steer clear of Loewe unless you can see the tv in operation before you buy it.

I chose this model after reading magazine reviews, which mentioned excellent picture quality and good sound quality, plus built in tuner, but non-intuitive setup menus. The set arrived and fortunately came with an installation and setup service, where the technician quickly set up and demonstrated the set. We've now been using it for 6 weeks and are very very pleased with it. Picture quality is as good as the review said, with no noticeable tearing during sport. Sound is also good, but only as good as you can expect within the limitations of the thin profile of an LCD TV. We've since added an external home cinema system, but that was from choice, not to overcome poor sound quality. Connecting the cables at the rear is a bit of a challenge. I bought it online, after extensive internet research, then found it on display at the Linn franchise in Harrods for several hundred pounds less than I paid for it. The Unbeatable price is now less that again.
