Linksys WRT54GP2 Wireless-g Broadband Router With 2 Phone Ports european Version WRT54GP2EU
User Reviews of the Linksys WRT54GP2 Wireless-G Broadband Router with 2 Phone Ports (European Version) (WRT54GP2EU)
The WRT54GP2 is an excellent SOHO device. It has two analogue voice ports which is useful if you have a fax and a phone. There are three 100baseT ports and an 802.11b/g WiFi capability. The downside is that the """"in"""" port is ethernet and you will require a separate modem (ADSL2MUE)to connect it to DSL or cable.
Voice quality depends upon your DSL service. It was poor around school chucking out time until BT kindly upgraded me to 2MBPS but is consistently OK now. The fax is a bit patchy though. You can send successfully about 60% of the time. The Vonage service is not the cheapest in the marketplace, but the feature set is good. For me the top feature is the ability to have additional phone numbers; so people in the USA can call me for free on my Whippany number that terminates in Colchester UK. It would have been good if Linksys had thought to integrate a DSL modem with the router though...
