User Reviews of the Kodak EasyShare V570 Digital Camera
stylish and intelligent

The V570 is designed to be used by anybody, either skilled or novice - the user''s guide is very detailed and straightforward, the menu is easy to understand once you''ve read through the manual book (there are icons WITH title that you can choose from when you''re choosing from the picture-taking modes, and other settings are easily available, too). The buttons are physically easy to use, whether you''re focusing or moving in the menu, the storage of the pictures is automatic. I made a lovely, perfect quality video recording with this camera, everyone envied me for the device that can achieve this quality, so the compactness is amazing, too. The different modes allow you to play with non-motion pictures, the different modes give you totally different results (soft or crisp, etc.) whenever you are taking pictures indoors (although "party" mode could be called standard for people in a room), it''s worth finding the best option for certain lights. The "sport" mode captures people who wiggle very easily, i was always successful taking picture of unaware persons who wouldn''t stand still (including some friends playing volleyball with a balloon). All in all, the photos are real Kodak quality and the focusing won''t spoil their crisp details either. My problem with the camera was the short battery life, which i solved by purchasing an extra battery and by storing the battery always outside the camera (even if it''s switched off, the battery is being constantly used as there''s a clock keeping itself updated so that you can always have the exact time displayed on your recordings...) - when you put in the battery, you need to go through a procedure of setting the date and time, no "shortcuts", no excuses... or you keep the camera charged up.... The dock can do the job for you at the pressing of one button for each function, exactly as advertized, copying photos and videos on a computer and/or charging up the battery, it''s a cute device indeed (giving you the proud feeling of having the most intelligent type of equipment). The camera''s other attraction is the ability to organize photos into files even before copying them on your computer - which function i myself never used as my factory refurbished camera lacked on the relevant battery life for these non-vital extras... but it might be a crucial feature for the scientific-minded, i guess... The unique, posh looks and the matching intelligent interiors make this camera a real value for your money, it really is a beginning-of-the-twenty-first-century model which you may not want to change for a more "modern" one for some decades if it survives your journeys. (The popularity is so great that mine got stolen from me....)
Pros:
big choice of picture-taking modes
Cons:
short battery life
Ease Of Use
Durability
