JVC HDD Camera GZ-MG50

Purchased this little beauty just before going to the USA for a month. Very easy to use & only takes a few minutes to get used to it. Its very light and has a huge screen to record & play back the action. Really pleased with the results - I used 5 hours on the hard drive but I will edit that later. Can you imagine how many discs or tapes I would have to have used with a conventional camcorder. Can only fault the product only on 2 very small points; 1. The battery life on the unit provided only lasts for about an hour, however a replacement 3 hour battery can be purchased as an extra - I would recommend that as I got caught out and missed some shots. 2. The plastic lens protector is naff and held on by a string! How JVC could supply something like this to a truely awesome bit of kit amazes me. However it works but it just looks cheap & nasty

JVC MG50EK i Bought this camera basicaly because of the fact it has a hard drive instead of tapes or discs. so i dont have to buy any media for it apart from the very cheap dvd-r.
Pros:
so easy to use. you can plug it to your pc and edit until your hearts content or plug it to your dvd recorder and out pops a copy. im really pleased with this camera, im glad i spent the extra money. even my wife finds it easy to use. its small and light and fits in her hand bag, which is good when your out and about.
Cons:
for the 7 hours of top quality recording you only get 1 hour of battery life.:( i would recomend you get an extra battery with longer life. (which are avalible)
