User Reviews of the Indesit IS70C Tumble Dryer
We ordered our Indesit IS70C drier from our Littlewoods catalogue in Jan 07. It was delivered and when we unwrapped it and tried to turn it on, it didnt work. Turns out the pump was faulty, we had to wait 5weeks for it to be repaired by Indesit. A little over 6months later, it broke down again! The engineer came out again and discovered that the drum had completely sheared off from it mount, and the heater had shut down.(apparently a safety feature, so we were told)
We contacted Littlewoods,, and after a little persuasion, there gonna take it back. My advice, avoid this machine at all costs!
Pros:
none
Cons:
The door opens at the slightest nudge, apart from that it was ok when it was working.
Dryer ground to a halt within 6 weeks of purchase. The engineer stated the dryer had been dropped prior to delivery and was damaged on it''s left side. The dryer would not work as the drum had sheared off completely! He telephoned the manufacturer, in our prescence, to point out the extreme damage and requested a replacement - Indesit refused. The store we bought it from were very helpful, they tried contacting Indesit and were told the same thing. Apparently you have 4 weeks to spot a dud, after which time you must have the thing repaired, no matter what the reason. We now have to wait for several weeks for the arrival of a new part. The upsetting thing is we have a machine less than 6 weeks old with (as the engineer put it) 5 years wear on it. Beware Idesit''s policies and poor customer care. Even when the machine worked, it filled the room with steam! Terrible machine - wish I''d never set eyes on it.
