Have to agree with writer above, washes well but sounds like a bloody earthquake is starting when it's on top spin

I bought this machine almost 1 year ago now and have yet to find anything negative to say about it,ok it may be slightly noisy but then again it is a 1600rpm spin so the fact it doesn't sound like a glider taking off is to be expected. The important things such as how well it cleans and reliability are undoubtably the best you could ask for, I recommended this model to family and friends and they, so far, have had trouble free and efficient washing. My only problem is how i will replace it when it finally does shuffle off to that great launderette in the sky.

I bought the Hotpoint ultima washing machine 7 months ago. The main feature that made my buy it was that is was supposed to be super silent. Well I can tell you its not it sounds like a plain tacking off on a top spin. I have had hotpoint out 6 times now. The last time they replaced the dampening system and now it sounds worse. I really would not recommend this washing machine if you have a wooden floor as Hotpoint say it should be on a concrete floor. Did they not stop to think that not all people have concrete floors when they designed it.
