Hotpoint FFA74 Bottom Fridge Freezer Reviews Information

I have had this product for only four years and it has already been replaced. I am now having the same problem with the replaced item. The frost keeps building up in the freezer section which prevents the food being frozen and therfore defrosts the food. So basically it is not doing its job which is to frreze the food. I would not reccomend this product to anyone because i believe it is a waste of effort, time, and money.

We purchased this fridge/freezer in April 2006. It has been inclined to run for long periods at night and the noise is a bit intrusive. This month the drain channel began to over flow. A visiting engineer said this problem occurs a lot with this machine and refered us to Hotpoint for a solution. They in turn sold us a further Guarantee and sent an engineer who said it needed. new door seals. He failed to appear for his second visit. A second engineer arrived with the new seals and said they weren''t needed. The problem was a freezing fault which is unrepairable. He phoned Hotpoint and they said as this was the case they would return the insurance premium. This after we had been told that if a repair was not possible the machine would be replaced. Thanks for nothing Hotpoint. We will never again buy your products and would advise others to be very wary.
