Hoover HNT5146 Top Load Washing Machine

I purchased the hoover HNT 5146 in August 2006 7 weeks later it stopped working,the spinner didn''t work.they replaced the motor not with the correct one because the engineer didn''t have one but he did find one that worked so he installed that..A month after that the thing stalled on program me daily 44,we put it on before we went to bed and the thing was still going the next morning,it had not moved off the top light of the program .we called the engineer out again but before he came we tried it again and it appeared to work ok so we cancelled the appointment.(mistake) a month later same trouble called the engineer out again,he tested everything and found a lot of loose wiring on a cct board which he soldered,everything ok for 6 weeks then the same trouble ,we discovered through trial and error that if we turned the machine off and left it overnight and then used another program me it would work that is until three days ago when the same thing happened and we couldn''t get it going again,waiting forthe engineer now and stuff me I just tried and it working again,I am not going to cancel because it now 1 month oput of gauruntee and I want it checked out.I found out something interesting from the consumer people and that is you still have certain rights up until 6 years after the purchase date but not with the manufacturer but with the people you bought it from.I may have just had a bad one but I think Hoover should have offered an exchange,so I would buy Hoover again
