Hoover DM4493 Bagless Upright Cyclonic

What a totally useless hoover. The most i have ever spent on a hoover at £130.00 and bar far the worst I have ever had. You end up using your hoover to clean and then have to clean your hoover!!!! My filters were constantly getting blocked and then suction was lost. The actual cyclinder for the dust etc to go into never got more than a tenth full as it never got chance as you had to keep unblocking it before you could use it again. Empyting the cyclinder and cleaning the filters was a filthy job as the dust gets everywhere and the main filter at the top takes an age to dry after cleaning (approx 3-4 days). Don''t buy this hoover. A complete waste of money.

I completely agree with the previous review of the Hoover Dust Manager range. I have long hair, and after hoovering only one room I have to take apart the hoover to remove clogged hair from the filter at the top of the dust box. The hoover cuts-out if you don't remove the hair frequently enough, and then takes 30 mins to reset! When you remove the hair from the filter, it is really messy because all the dust is on the filter and it makes hoovering a complete nightmare!

This model and the "Dust Manager" range are technically flawed, in that the main filter is placed in the path of the vacuumed dirt BEFORE is is deposited in the bin. This means that after only one room, it is very likely you will need to remove and defur / hair / dust this filter to recover suction. If you have pets, it is even worse. Removing the container to reach this is a dirty job, and emptying the bin is even worse, as you have to crack it in half to empty it and get to the dust filter. A filthy job, that needs to be done at least twice for one sweep around a 3 bedroom house!. I have no idea how Hoover can dare to place such an item on the market. I Strongly advise you do not buy this or others Hoovers with this "Dust Manager" supposed cyclonic system unless you enjoy playing with clogged filters.
