I bought this shelf system about 18 months ago on behalf of my son. The two criteria for buying were sound quality and price. I work in a recording studio, so quality of sound is what I ''m about! We tried every system in the shop from £60-£140, and the sound was on a par with all of them, even some twice the price! What I liked was at full volume, there was only the faintest tinge of distortion, (hardly audible) where other systems started distorting way before full volume. The other thing that swung it, was that not stated on the description it played CDR and CDR/W, a feature in keeping with more expensive models.
