Just received this laptop yesterday from Dabs.
Everything seems to be running well. I looked around before buying and you get reasonable specs for the price.
The screen resolution is ok though viewing angles aren''t great.
Still early days but so far so good.
Pros:
Looks alot better and is better spec''d than the Dell equivalent.
Quick play touch button are handy.
Cons:
As the previous reviewer noted, the latch doesn''t provide a snug close.
Shiny black cover looks nice but shows every finger print.
Scroll bar on the side of the navigation pad doesn''t work very well.

This machine is very impressive for the £899 purchase price. It is easy to set up and I like the whole design. The built in web cam is very good for a factory fitted unit, and the touch controls are easy to use. The graphics display is excellent and I see little use for much more than the 256meg of dedicated graphics unless you are a serious gamer. The 17" display with 512 meg is an extra £400. With 2 gig of ram and 160 gig of hard drive space it will cover most applications with ease. Not sure about the terrestial TV tuner....the remote control is almost as big as the laptop !......I will leave it all in the box. A feeserve USB TV tuner is about £25. If you want TV invest in one of these.

Pros:
Looks and feels a quality product. Speakers very good for a laptop.
Cons:
The lid does not close snug....the catch seems to need adjusting. I have checked other HP machines and they are the same.
