Garmin Streetpilot C510 Deluxe Sat Nav
User Reviews of the Garmin StreetPilot® c510 Deluxe Sat Nav / GPS Receiver
I was given the Garmin C510D (Deluxe Version) for Christmas this year. It didn't really need any getting used to. So far, the guidance has been fantastic, and the Traffic Reciever has been very useful, although some problems are not mentioned. It is very easy to download Speed Camera Locations - I would reccommend downloading them from the Garmin website and registering your product in case anything goes wrong. The voice is definately loud enough, and the display is very bright and easy to read, and can go in to night mode to help vision. The 3D mapping has been useful and the amount of Points of Interest is amazing. A wonderful Sat Nav at a very reasonable price - probably better than many equivalents or more expensive units by other manufacturers.
Pros:
Ease of use
Fantastic Value for Money
Easy to Download Updates, Speed Cameras and other Points of Interest (POIs)
Loud Voice
Many customisable options
Accurate
Cons:
none
I recieved a Garmin c510 sat nav unit for christmas this year. I was hoping for the smaller i3 model but am already thrilled with the larger 510. The screen is clear and well laid out. The menu's are simple enough to understand and with a little practice can become very easy to use even when actually on a route. The main menu allows you to select the map view or select a new destination.
You can either find an exact place by postcode/address or by using the inbuilt Points of Interest or locations such as clubs or restaurants.
The screen adjusts when in auto mode dependant on time to be easy on the eye and is easy to mount anywhere.
Another cool thing is the icons - these can be changed to vehicles of some colours from the Garmin website.
Overall i am very impressed with the little unit. It serves the purpose it was designed for without any complicated menu's or complicated setup procedures.
Thanks
