Flavel Gas Cooker

I would not recommend this cooker to anyone. After two weeks use the storage compartment door fell off. I should have taken the hint - the one in the shop was also lying on the floor. The door does not have proper hinges but a cheap bent tin design reminiscent of 1940''s tin toys. The Flavel repair man''s fix was to crimp the bent tin a bit tighter with a pair of pliers. I can''t see it lasting. Neither the oven or the grill seem to have sufficient heat capacity. Food has mostly to be cooked at the top of the oven using the Max temperature setting. Even then it is often necessary to add 20-30% to the recommended cooking times.
