User Reviews of the Fellowes Powershred® PS-62C Shredder

i bought this shredder from Staples less than two months ago....it makes a noise but the blades don''t move.
This is available at Argos for £59.99. It fits under most desks and is a premium confetti-cut shredder It is reasonably quiet in operation. It takes up to 6 sheets & also can shred staples & credit cards. It will not shred paper clips, continuous forms, adhesive labels, transparencies, newspaper, cardboard or any plastic other than credit cards. The 14 litre wastebasket features a unique pull-out design that lets you empty it without lifting the shredder head. The wastebasket has a clear window so you can see when the basket is full.
It has an electronic auto start/stop feature which a reasonably ensures quick, easy shredder operation. The safety interlock switch ensures that the shredder shuts off automatically when the 14 Litre pull-out wastebasket is removed. The reverse function easily removes paper jams
Pros:
It is reasonably fast & quite. Pullout wastebasket is a good idea.
Cons:
Maximum running time of 10-12 minutes & automatic cool-down period kicks in for 15 minutes. If like me you save up a lot of documents to shred over a period of time, it means you only get through so many before it shuts down. The pullout wastebasket is good but I have foun that there is usually an overfill in the main container. It only has a sheet capacity of 6 so you have to split most large reports & count the sheets.

Works well and is quiet compared to my old shredder.
Only £48 in Staples
