Electrolux EKC6049X Double Oven Stainless Steel

This is very good product with a very wide range of facilities available from the cooker - top heat, bottom heat, both, fan, defrost etc. The hobs are very quick (not quite Halogen but quick none the less). The steel does not appear to be marking after 9 months and it looks as good as new. BUT - oh dear the knobs are a DISASTER. Within a day or two of using it the paint started to chip and wear off all the knobs and it seriously detracted from the look of the cooker. Even though I wrote within a couple of weeks of getting the unit they insisted that knobs were not covered in the guarantee (they did change them eventually but it happened again immediately afterwards and our son has the same problem with his EK cooker). It is a design fault - the knobs are lightly sprayed silver paint over black plastic. It's a case of the ship definitely being spoiled for a hap'th of tar - an extra few pence on well engineered knobs would have created a stunning cooker.
