Dyson DC20 Animal Stowaway

We have always used upright cleaners as we needed a powered brush to get the dog hair off carpets but our last one (a Vax) was forever breaking its drive belt and it was hard to get spares. We also got fed up with the mess from cleaning dust from the filter. The DC20 Animal with its "turbo brushes" seemed a good idea and our first impression is first rate. We had vacuumed the carpets before making the purchase and thought they were clean but one hour later we cleaned the same carpet with the Dyson and filled it with dog hair and dust!! Compared with an upright it is much easier to use, especially on stairs where the smaller turbo brush makes light work of what has been an awkward job. The build quality seems very good and its very easy to pack away. The only thing I would criticise is the instruction book which relies on, sometimes obscure, illustrations rather than simple instructions.
