Bush PSDAB2004 Dab Digital Radio
User Reviews of the Bush PSDAB2004 Dab Digital Radio

I have just purchased my second Bush DAB radio (I left the first in a hotel room and never had it returned) I have also owned the Ferguson version which, I believe is the same but for the case and battery compartment (Ferg uses 3 AAs).
Yes they do use a lot of power but this is understandable as the units use Digital to analogue converters which are very power hungrydevices (feel the heat coming off your Sky Box!).
The trick is to use rechargable batteries (we should all do this anyway for environmental reasons) - I use mine in bed every night and frequently fall asleep with the unit on; using 2700 mAhr batteries I get about 2 nights sleep out of them - Just have two sets - one on charge and one on drain. Anyway back to the unit, the Bush is great which is why I have bought another, at just under £40 it beats the socks off others which are twice the price - The controls take a little getting used to and make sure you use decent headphones as the supplied ones are just OK but not brilliant.
Pros:
Price
Cons:
none
I have wanted a portable DAB for quite a while, I decided to wait until an affordable range came into the market place.
Low and behold I recently went shopping and found one that appeared to tick most of the boxes, at a price I was happy with.
However my main gripe with the radio is this, in the manual it states that under continual use, using Duracell batteries I shoulkd expect to get 8 hours cintinued play time. When in reality the batteries which were bought brand new lasted a mere 4 hours.
Now perhaps there is a fault with radio, if so all well and good, however if not then at my reconing, 4 batteries a day at nearly £4 pound a pack, I may as well save up and book a live band to play for me.
Just goes to show, never go for the cheapest option, there''s no such thing as It''ll do.
Pros:
Size
Blue Back Light
Cons:
Poor Battery Life
Ear Piece plugs into side not top or bottom
It''s white plastic, won''t stay white for long.
