Archos AV500 30GB Digital Media Player

Firstly the size of the unit is remarkable yet the screen clarity is spot on and is a pleasure to watch. The unit can play various formats but not as many as other video players. if you have alot of movies in Divx/Xvid format with mp3 sound then this player will play them all. The battery life of the unit is reasonable but could be better. You can easily watch a whole movie so long as its not a 3 1/2 hour epic. The user interface is so easy to operate that even a child could do it. The internal speaker is not the best for sound output. This really is not best suited to a music player even though it plays them well. But by putting your music on this unit you can, using the supplied leads attach to a hi-fi and all your music on the go. And of course Photos viewing again is limited to format but connecting to a camera is easy with the supplied leads and you have your whole photo album to take and show all your friends through their TV.
