Acer Aspire Idea 500 98IVB7ZUHM
User Reviews of the Acer Aspire™ iDea 500 (98IVB7ZUHM) PC Desktop
Possibly the first 'consumer' media centre that actually works as a part of the living room AV experience. Had some initial problems getting sound out via my Panasonic Home Cinema system but once I'd worked out from the brief but adequate paperwork that the Aspire Idea comes with I got it working fine. The twin tuners picked up all the available digital freeview tv and radio channels and with the by far the best quality and stability I have ever experienced (and I have had about 4 freeview boxes including a Netgem iPlayer)
Recording, browsing, listening to audio (I have loaded a lot of my own CD's so far plus transferred my Naptster account to the Acer). Had friends round at the weekend and they were 'blown away', and they are not IT literate.
Would recommend it, but if you buy get the best deal you can on warranty
