Acer Aspire 1654WLMI

I bought this laptop nearly a year ago fom Acer online (aka Laptops Direct). In the first couple of weeks I experienced problems reading pressed CDs but Acer promptly replaced DVD/CD drive under warranty and all has been well since. Battery life is good (over 3hrs) if you throttle back processor and dim display (OK for web surfing and word processing) but can be less than 2hrs at full speed. Encoding video and burning to DVD using Pinnacle 10 is no problem but definitely better done on mains power. Display is gorgeous and unit is well built, especially for price. Would I buy another Acer laptop from latops direct? ... Definitely yes.
