An overview of the Toshiba XDE-500 DVD Player Review

Toshiba haven't wasted anytime in releasing its new DVD Player. Although Blu-ray may have won the war, the DVD market is still going strong. So why not throw another player out there?

The Toshiba XDE-500 DVD Player has Toshiba's new XDE technology on board along with Sharp, Colour and Contrast Modes to provide added detail, rich colours and deep blacks as well as a DVD Upscaler to 720p, 1080i and 1080p, HDMI connection, 3D Virtual Surround Sound, a JPEG Viewer and MP3 Playback.

Although the Toshiba XDE500 doesn't play HD DVD's it will make the very most of your standard definition DVD's and create a whole new movie experience for you. Due to this the image output may vary depending on each DVD that is played.
