Tomtom Go 700 Sat Nav Gps ReceiverTom Tom Go 700 Review
Callum Mckeefrey
The TomTom GO 700 is a compact satellite navigation system providing a wide range of features that will take some of the stress out of your journey.
The portable unit sits in a suction mount that attaches to your windscreen; a helpful feature is the screen is anti-glare, even in direct sunlight. The system can be accessed and operated by the touch-screen or with the remote control system, which gives the option of navigation of the system by a passenger.
A great feature is mobile phone Bluetooth connection that gives you hands-free for all your calls; the system also allows you to view your contacts and make the call from the unit and TomTom Plus will bring you real-time traffic information; including weather, news and download functions through your mobile via Bluetooth.
The system has a 2.5 GB hard drive so the unit comes fully loaded with maps for 17 European countries, plug it in and go, it’s as easy as that; if you are travelling across mainland Europe the mapping system is seamless as you move across borders; you won’t have the hassle of loading or switching to new maps. Directions can be heard in 30 languages and in 50 different voice types if you desire, the sound quality is impressive for such a small unit. Planning your route gives you the usual options such as shortest, quickest route and avoidance of toll roads etc. but it also highlights essentials services such as petrol stations, restaurants and points of interest to break your journey up. Overall Opinion The Tom Tom Go 700 is a great all-in-one Sat Nav system that is easy to use and that includes european mapping. We really liked the clarity and sharpness of the screen and the 3D map display and were impressed with the overall performance of this market leading satellite navigation system. | European Maps Included
