Design | | The Sony NW-S706 MP3 player is stunning in every sense of the word. It comes in a range of popular shiny, metallic colours, blue, black and pink, so get all three to match your outfits. It is very slim line measuring only 88mm long with a depth of less than 2cm so slipping into the smallest pocket will not be a problem (and it will go un-noticed if you are in a situation where it needs to be hidden). On the front side of the NW-S706 are the volume controls which are very easy to use and a dual function start-stop button. At the top end is a ‘folder’ dial which allows you to scroll through your tracks and albums as well as forwarding and rewinding a track. | | Features | | Sony has certainly pushed down all the barriers to bring us the best with the 4GB NW-S706 MP3 player as this one has got it all. Not only does it charge in just 3 minutes giving you 3 hours of playback, but complete the charge and you will receive a whopping 50 hours of playback making this the best MP3 on the market in terms of battery life. The noise cancelling earphones that are supplied with the NW-S706 are a breakthrough in themselves as they will cut down background noise, and as Sony says ‘each headphone features a built-in microphone that detects ambient noise which is then cancelled out by the opposite sound wave it creates reducing the ambient noise by 75%’. So forget having to turn up the volume to drown out background noise, because the Sony NW-S706 does it for you. Clever stuff. With Clear Bass technology along with Clear Stereo technology every instrument stands out and the bass of each track can be altered to suit. One of our favourite features (and we’re sure it will be yours too) is the display screen.
