Sony DCR-SR90E Memory Card Camcorder Review
Lisa Malyon
Launched in January this year - the Sony DCR-SR90 hard-disk camcorder is proving to be a real winner. Sony is taking the likes of JVC with their Everio series by storm by offering the highly specified SR90 with 30GB of HDD storage, 10x optical zoom, 3.1 mega pixel stills, a massive 21 hours of recording time and a huge widescreen LCD screen. Highly specified is an understatement when it comes to looking at what the SR90 can offer. A few on the exhaustive list are 1/3in primary colour 3.3 mega pixel CCD, Carl Zeiss Vario Sonnar T Lens, SteadyShot, High Resolution 16:9 widescreen recording, intelligent flash - Do I really need to go on? So with all of the above and more you’re laughing, however, it doesn’t stop there. You also get accessories, for example an AC adaptor AC-L200, rechargeable battery pack NP-FP60, remote commander, AV cable, ImageMixer for HDD camcorder (CD-ROM), USB cable. Forget Ferrero Rochet - Sony really are spoiling us. Overall Opinion Sony have really outdone themselves with the Sony DCR-SR90E, a good hard-disk camcorder with one of the highest specifications on the market - what more could you want? Lisa MalyonAfter you’ve seen and used this model you will never get off the hard-disk bandwagon, rest assured. It isn’t just a gimmick - it’s the future (could so easily slip a garlic bread gag in there for those Peter Kay fans). Tapeless models such as this one are dropping in price everywhere, so there really is no excuse for buying MiniDV anymore. what’s more is that the SR90 smaller and lighter than many on the market
