Sony KDL-S32A12U 32" LCD Television Review
Lisa Malyon
| The affordable KDL-S32A12U is one of Sony’s best budget LCD screens yet. Although some may describe it as a stripped down version of Sony’s more expensive screens, there has definitely been no cost cutting during the design process. The silver curvy finish gives it a clean, streamlined, look which can only be described as aesthetically pleasing. Including the stand the TV weighs a whopping 20kg, it measures 608 x 309 x 792mm (be careful on the way up the stairs). | ![]() |
Installation is easy, just plug it in and use the auto set-up feature and hey presto, you're away.
The only pitfall to mention is the lack of proprietary picture processing to boost detail, improve colour or reduce picture noise. This is unfortunate, however, the picture is still very impressive. Equally impressive is sound quality, sound performance is first class.

Pros + Excellent picture and sound |
Cons - The silver surround means it lacks contrast |
