A review of the Samsung LE40F86BD 1080p Full HD LCD TV

The design of the Samsung F86 40inch LCD TV is well and truly stunning with immaculate design features including the Samsung trademark blue glowing light at the power button, sensory buttons down the right side section which are touch sensitive and only appear when you have touched that side of the screen and hidden speakers which are located in the side panels but out of sight. The screen is a sharp and solid matt back frame which reduces any reflections like with a glossy frame. Even the stand is non-obtrusive with a narrow neck and flat stand. The screen itself is 10cm thick so is ideal for wall mounting too.

These include 1080p resolution being twice the resolution of conventional HD TV and with the Super Clear LCD panel which, regardless of the lighting conditions will provide crisp, sharp and vibrant colours. A Dynamic Contrast Ratio of 25,000:1 ensures that there is much more detail present in dark and light areas and that black levels are sharp and detailed too. The 100Hz Motion Plus Processor produces 100 frames per second creating a flawless moving scene with no judder or image motion in fast moving scenes. Connectivity is all good with 3 HDMI’s v1.3 so you can connect the Samsung F86 to any Blu-ray player, Games Console or Surround Sound Systems etc without losing any image quality. |

| The Samsung LE40F86BD LCD TV is the upgrade to the Samsung LE40M87BD and could very easily be mistaken for a Plasma TV with the exceptional black levels and high contrast ratio. The colours that are reproduced are amazing too with vibrancy and clarity and HD images display them best. This screen excels in every area with standard definition images also impressing us greatly, an area which usually fails slightly. Samsung’s Super Clear Panel is responsible for the majority of these benefits and we would put this LCD TV up there with the best due its outstanding performance and high quality images. |
