The Samsung LE-32R87BD LCD TV is a stunning model with a high gloss black finish to the frame and sumptuous curves and lines making it appear to be an expensive TV rather than the affordable one that it is. It carries a minimal look which adds and air of sophistication and the 32inch black beauty stands on a glossy swivel base, but it can be wall mounted too.

The R87 range is unfortunately, not 1080p, but is HD ready with a whopping 3 HDMI connectors. This means you can have Sky HD, a Playstation 3 and a HD DVD player attached all at the same time without having to mess around changing them over. A wide Colour Enhancer has been included for excellent colour reproductions. Colours will appear brighter and deeper than average and vibrancy is displayed well with the wider colour gamut and four times as many colour gradations. Differentiating the R87 range from the M87 range of Samsung LCD TV’s is the Movie Plus mode. This mode will eliminate any motion judder than would occur and ensures that the image you receive is crystal clear, no matter the speed it is moving at. A game mode has also been included, allowing faster response times in gaming and displays powerful sound effects taking you into the gaming world from the reality of your sofa. A particularly impressive feature is the single remote feature which allows you to control all of the hooked up devices with one remote. This works via the HDMI connectors as they are CEC enabled and any other device which is CEC enabled will work. Some manufacturers only allow the single remote function operates with their own products, but Samsung have pushed the boat out and their generosity, by allowing any CEC enabled product to be used.

| The colours that we were presented with from the Samsung LE-32R87BD were amazing, bright and vibrant. Faces had outstanding detail displayed and skin tones were super natural. We noticed that the impressive colours and textures were present when watching High-Def TV as well as Standard Def TV which was a bonus. Black levels were really good too and had great depth and detail. The sound has got to be the only downfall we can pick at with this very reasonably priced 32” LCD TV. Even with the volume at full whack it was not good and seemed quite muffled. We suggest that you get your surround system hooked up as quickly as possible to get the maximum sound quality. |

| We really liked the appearance of the Samsung LE-32R87BD and the many features that it has. The performance was really good apart from the poor sound quality which can easily be rectified. For an affordable HD LCD TV, we think that this deserves a look and you will struggle to find a better TV for the price. |
