Going to the gym is embarrassing enough without the added annoyance of getting in a tangle with your headphones. Fear no longer as Plantronics have come to the rescue with their cool Pulsar 560A Wireless Headset, leaving you looking cool and collective when you need it most. Design |
Plantronics have kept the design simple and streamline making wearing the Pulsar 590A easy. The black and silver design fits in well in most environments, however, the foldable headband is a bit plastic looking. For £80, the design is impressive, we like that fact that they don’t look like the ones you would expect to find at your local gaming forum - they are far more classy. The foldable design makes them easily portable, once they are snuggly sat in the supplied carry case they are ready to go anywhere with you. |
| Features |
The Pulsar A590 gives you a wireless chance to listen to your favourite tunes at home, in the office and out and about, not only that but it also allows you to chat on your mobile phone too. Use the simple button to toggle between listening to music and chatting away to friends in less than a second. They support High-Fidelity stereo sound, claiming to provide the best audio quality around. The analogue Bluetooth enables your laptop, TV, DVD or MP3 player for streaming stereo audio. It is perfect for travel, as it is supplied with an in-flight converter cord for your convenience. The Pulsar A590 is only compatible with hardware that has Bluetooth Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP). To reduce annoying interference, the Pulsar A590 features the Bluetooth V1.2. On the headset itself, there is a missed call and battery level indicator which come in very practical. |
| Performance |
As far as performance goes, the Pulsar A590 does everything you would expect them to do. The toggle option works well, without any delay between settings. The sound is superb, we thought the dialogue was crisp and listening to music we heard some good bass and superb clarity. The battery gave us 12 hours of talk time when hooked up to the mobile phone and 10 hours when listening to music. |
| What's In The Box? |
Rechargeable 3.5mm universal adapter, USB charger, in-flight converter cord, travel case, desktop charging stand, AC power cable. |
| Overall Opinion |
Considering the amount of freedom the Pulsar A590 headphone gives when you are busiest or most active, £80 is a small price to pay. The performance was outstanding, they did everything we needed them to do and they look great. The feature which allows you to toggle between phone calls and music is novel and extremely practical. We would definitely recommend snapping these little beauties up asap. If you want a trendier design you may want to consider the Sennhesier RS 120 Consumer Headphones for a little less money. |
