TX-32LXD60 32in Widescreen Viera LCD TV Review
Lisa Malyon The TX-32lXD60 32" Viera Widescreen LCD TV is one of Panasonic's latest products on the market. It's surprising though as, unlike most Panasonics, it’s not really that much to look at. The Viera design is silver and straight and that really is all there is to say. It measures 615 x 791 x 301 mm and weighs an average 19.5kg making it reasonably easy to get it home. Once home you don’t have a mission on your hands to get this TV set up as installation is easy. The TX32lXD60 is HD ready and has double HDMI terminals with HDAVI control. What is really good is the HDMI cable is a single cable that carries both digital video and audio together keeping things nice and neat. Like most new TVs, the TX32lXD60 also offers DVB integrated FreeView. The quality of the picture is excellent to say the least, maybe slightly on the soft side but nothing to moan about. TV broadcast and DVDs are equally as good but sometimes there is a slight judder with fast motion, despite the quick 8 m/second motion picture response! A good, defined, crisp picture is gained from all angles which is refreshing. The sound is equally as good as the picture, clear, without any sign of digital background noise. The only major downfall, which is again surprising of Panasonic, is that they have overlooked PC compatibility. The TX32lXD60 has no PC input whatsoever, a poor show, I’m sure you’d agree! For the price, the Panasonic TX32lXD60 32in LCD is an excellent buy. It offers everything you need, that’s if you intend to keep TV and PC separate. My advice would be to keep looking as there are others out there offering more for a very similar price.
