Panasonic TX26LXD60 26 inch TV Review
Babita Wakelin
The bods at Panasonic must be drip-fed Red Bull even in their sleep. Because these boys and girls just seem to be churning out great televisions.
Viera, Panasonic’s award winning flatpanel range does them proud. There’s very little difference between any of their range, apart from the glaringly obvious - size variations.
Like its siblings, the LXD60 comes attached with a fine CV. The LCD is already HD ready, and let’s face it, why would you want to buy a TV which wasn’t HD ready. And it also comes with integrated Freeview.
Simplicity could become their new motto – to setup the box you plug in, and let the electronics do the rest of the work in tuning the channels.
Picture quality is brilliant. The fact they’ve pushed 1,049,088 pixels into 26 inches means you get a brighter, clearer picture, and even more detail on high-definition images. It also means the blacks are even deeper and the colours even crisper.
It’s quick 8-msecond motion picture response suppresses afterimages and colour sift, so even when you’re watching fast car chases you still get clear, sharp scenes.
And because the Viera LXD60 uses vertical and horizontal viewing angles, you could be hanging upside down and you still wouldn’t get a distorted image - although we don’t recommend hanging upside down, it leaves you feeling dizzy.
The bods didn’t just stop at design and quality either. By the looks of it, they’ve sat down, scratched their scalps a little and thought about what might be plugged into the TV - the result, two HDMI inputs with HDAVI control making it idea for gaming too.

Pros + Looks great + Good picture quality and sound + Two HDMI ports |
Cons - Might be a bit on the small size screen wise. |
