A review of the Panasonic TX-32LXD700 HD LCD TV

Design
With its gorgeous shiny edges and matt black central frame, this LCD TV is a stunning piece of kit to sit proudly in your main living space. With its previous model the TX-32LMD70, Panasonic decided to create a bit of individuality by having a black frame with a silver lining, but unfortunately, the silver lining has been scrapped on this model and we are left with yet another piano back LCD TV, but it is stunning nevertheless.
Features
The all important features of the Panasonic HD Ready LCD TV include a very welcome three HDMI inputs, V-Real Technology, Advanced Smart Sound Spekaer System, Viera Link, SD card slot for viewing HD JPEG images, 100Hz Motion Picture Pro for double speed responses. The TX-32LXD700 is not a Full HD TV and has a resolution of 1366x768, however, it has Panasonic’s 1080p processing chip on board which means it can accept a 1080p signal and then downscale it.
Performance
The performance of the LXD700 is outstanding and we have been sat open-mouthed in awe at the pure brilliance of the images it has displayed to us. Black levels were awesome and amazingly detailed at every point of the screen too, even the edges are full of details where some sets lose detail here. Images on the whole are crisp and edges sharp with colours that are bright and fresh while retaining an outstanding amount of detail and depth. We believe that you really get your money’s worth when it comes to assessing the images on the LXD700, as it can be compared as quite an expensive LCD TV and a few more quid could get you a Samsung 50” PS50Q97HD, but the images and features are much, much, much better and surely this means more that saving yourself a few quid.
