Fuji is getting with the programme, by introducing the Fuji Finepix Z10FD digital camera which has some of the most hippest features around. The Z10FD is targeted at the teens and adults out there who are into their blogging and downloading.

Design

With seven cool colours to choose from, there will definitely be one to suit all. Choose from Hot Pink, Wave Blue, Red, Midnight Black, Wasabi Green, Moss Green and Sunset Orange. The colour is only the icing on the cake though, as the Z10FD is a stunning camera with tiny dimensions, making it suitable to slip into your purse or pocket for a party night out! The sliding lens cover on the front does add a bit of depth to it, but this is the power function so flip it across and off you go. Other brands have used a similar sliding lens cover such as the Sony Cybershot T70, Sony Cybershot T200, Sony Cybershot T2 and the Casio Exilim EX-V7.
Features
The Fuji Z10fd digital camera has a very impressive list of features for such a reasonably priced model. With 7.2 mega pixels, 3x optical zoom and 2.5 inch LCD screen it starts off good and then gets even better with mega fast face detection which will pick out up to ten faces within an image and correct the exposure and focus to provide you with a perfect image. It also has movement tracking which locks its subject until they move out of the frame. Real Photo Technology ensures that all images taken with Fuji Z10FD are as realistic and close to the original reality as possible regardless of the shooting conditions. Red eye is definitely a thing of the past with the Z10FD as it totally eliminates it by using eye detection within face detection and clears it so none of your images will be ruined or wasted. The anti blur functions work together to eliminate camera shake and movement blur within an image. The most interesting and ‘sign of the times’ feature is the Photo Sharing feature which allows you to send your images by a wireless transfer to other cameras using IrSimple. The Fuji Z10FD Blog mode also offers the ability to produce photos ideal to upload on to social networking sites such as MySpace and Facebook as well as YouTube. The Auction mode will make things easier when taking images for eBay by setting the correct resolution and grouping the images together.
Performance
We enjoyed using the Fuji Z10FD, although as we delved into the features it did become apparent that this is definitely a basic point and shoot camera for either the beginner or someone who does just purely want to upload to the internet. The images it produced were of a high standard, especially the clear, bright colours it reproduced. We did notice some purple fringing on some images and noise did start to appear at the higher ISO settings.
Overall Opinion
For the targeted group of the Fuji Finepix Z10FD, this camera will perform well and is very reasonably priced too. It is very user-friendly and is the perfect companion on a night out or day trip.
