The day is almost upon us, the mythical, magical, revolutionary Apple tablet computer is on it's way across the globe to Apple, Currys and PC World stores in time for Fridays International release. But there is a spanner in the works. Apple have again pushed pre-orders back a few weeks, which they also did over the pond recently, due to the overwhelming demand from customers.
The big question is how many will they have in stock? We have already spoken with a selection of Apple stores who have said not to bother coming and queueing late as they will almost certainly run out of stock before long. Those dedicated enough will be there early but PC World and Currys may have even smaller stock numbers due to Apple stores getting the main bulk of supply being as it's their product and all.
It will be interesting to see how they fare on the day, if online orders are collected from Apple stores there probably won't be enough stock to go around and we could see crowds rushing to Currys to get there hands on stock that hasn't been put by for collection. With online pre-order delays already in effect, it's not looking to promising if you're not first in the queue.
