Xbox Changes: Call of Duty Fixes and Farewell to Halo 2
As with everything else in life, people look for the easy road, thus spoiling the fun for the people that actually do work hard. The official Xbox Magazine reports that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 players have been frustrated with the abuse of care packages and that Studio Infinity Ward has finally done something about it. By submitting a patch to fix exploits involving the online multiplayer perk, the patch will remove the ability to spawn infinite care packages. This addition will also improve placement detection for Sentry Guns and balance any damage done by 1887 shotguns.
As we have mentioned the Live for the Original Xbox will be calling it quits as of April 15th. That same day, Bungie will be pulling the plug on its first-person shooter Halo 2. As a last supper attempt, April 14th, gamers will be able to challenge developers online. An excerpt from Bungie's post states, "We're all saddened at the realization that an era is coming to an end but looking back, we're incredibly fortunate to have had such a great run and such strong support from our fans."
