Imagine puting your dog in the washing machine for a quick clean up, well imagine no more because some bright spark in Japan has created a Washing Machine specially designed for cats and dogs. The machines, which have been installed in pet shops across Tokyo, are proving very popular especially since the recession kicked in.
The machine washes and blow dries dogs and cats for the very reasonable price of £3.50.
Naka Honda said one owners of the pet shops that has had the washine machines installed said "he did not think the machine was cruel - but admitted it had taken his Yorkshire Terrier, Benji, a while to get used to it". The wash and dry takes 33 minutes and claims to use pure 'ozone' water and is entirely safe.
I don't think they have any plans to expand the Dog Washing Machine beyond Japan at the minute but i'll keep you posted.

i think the joyful honda is a cruel way to wash a cat or dog. for example: my cat hates water and he would have jumped up and down in the same way as the cat in the video. because the cat cannot see properly because of the water, it could end up pretty hurt if he keeps jumping like that. the cat has too much movement space. maybe if the cat is detained in a certain way, it would be better. same goes for dogs.

i just saw the youtube video of a cat being washed in this machine. it was absolutely dreadful to watch the cat was terrified and was jumping up and down trying to escape. cats are normally not washed because they clean themselves. if you dont like the natural smell of cats, then dont take one! i hope this stupid invention will go by unnoticed.
