Toshiba launch Portable Media Player

Toshiba are set to wet the appetite of every movie lover with their latest Gigabeat line – The Video Series.

As an addition to the already successful S-series, the latest Video (V) Series fits nicely into the portable video player market with its 3.5-inch TFT LCD display, built-in speaker and Microsoft software.

Toshiba’s successful Gigabeat S-series has given them the courage to launch a more advanced model. By giving the V-series a larger screen with a 320 x 240 resolution, the new Gigabeat V-series is perfect for those wanting to watch video on-the-go.

As every busy person will agree, there just aren’t enough hours in the day; well at least you can’t say that of the new V-series. This model promises to give you no less than eight hours of video playback and 25 hours of audio from one single charge. There really is no excuse not to catch up with the latest movies, with an extended battery life and 30 GB of memory space.

Using Windows Media Player 10.0, the interface is simple and easy-to-use, and as soon as you have your music or videos running you can choose to listen aloud with friends using the loudspeaker, or you may opt to use the included headphones.

Toshiba claim the V-series will support most audio files, including MP3, WMA, WMA Lossless, and WAV. Music stores such as Napster, eMusicsm, Rhapsody, and RealNetworks can also be used for music purchases.

UK consumers will be sad to hear the V-series is not available for retail in the UK at present, however they are selling at $399 in the US.
