Toshiba Make a Big Impact with their Tiny 100GB Drives

Set to be a big deal for ultra mobile PC owners is Toshiba’s ultra small 1.8-inch drive, boasting a 100GB capacity.

The new ultra-mobile PC drives, which will be shipped over at the start of 2007, are said to have the highest capacity available in the compact form.  The technology behind the new Toshiba MK1011GAH drives is perpendicular magnetic recording (PMR). 

Smaller PCs have always battled with size constraints, and with Toshiba’s new drives, this is a problem which will no longer exist.   

Toshiba are slow to announce a retail price, but Unbeatable will update you as soon as they do.
