Toshiba Glasses-Free 3D TV Heading To UK

Two sizes of the glasses free 3D TVs will be showcased at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2011 in Las Vegas. Toshiba has revealed that there will be both an over 40 inch model and an over 50 inch model displayed which will not only be available in Japan, but also in the US, Europe and China.

Research has suggested that consumers have been put off from buying a 3D TV due to the necessity of 3D glasses, however sales have been increasingly encouraging in recent months with suggested sales of 4.2 million in 2010, which is set to be tripled in 2011 to approximately 12.9 million.

The outstanding performance of 3D TVs must be seen to be believed and as more and more consumers trial the new format, 3D viewing sells itself, and with the news of glasses free viewing, the predicted sales figures could indeed be reached, if not exceeded.

We will bring you more information on the Toshiba 3D TV Glasses-free range, as we will be at CES 2011 from 6th to 9th.
